These photographs are a continuing personal project a document of where I come from; Goole was once a busy port providing jobs, security and identity to the people. Today they are silent. There are few jobs. The M62 offers an easy escape for work and leaves the town at times stranded and desolate. It is only on closer inspection you can find the strong communities and eclectic identities that still prevail, a sociological twist of youth, immigrants and old locals.
